Android 13 Will Allow Third-Party Apps To Record HDR Video

Google launched the Camera2 API to bring more stock camera features to third-party camera apps, among other things. The company announced some more changes coming to this API with Android 13, particularly the enabling of HDR video support on third-party camera apps. The announcement was part of a Google I/O session titled “What's new in Android.”

The Android back button is a multi-functional system key, with the ability to perform various actions depending on the app. Google is now announcing a new shift with Android 13 , thanks to a feature called “ Predictable Back ,” which tweaks the behavior of the back gesture or button to avoid closing an app by accident.
