Retro-style beat 'em up Streets of Rage 4 is getting some paid DLC later this year with Mr. X Nightmare. It includes three new playable characters and a Survival mode. Alongside the DLC, there will be a free update for all players that adds New Mania+ difficulty, a training system and new color palette options.

I adore Streets of Rage 4. It's one of the best beat 'em ups I've played on Switch in recent memory. Even more so when you play with friends. As such, I've been hoping the game would get some DLC at some point, so I can continue punching the crap out of goons. Get ready to hit Wood Oak City once again; the world of Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games' Streets of Rage 4 is getting new playable characters and additional game modes.
Dubbed Mr. X Nightmare, this DLC will bring with three new playable characters and a special Survival game mode. In addition, a separate free update will also be released that will include additional content.

Publisher and developer Dotemu, and developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have announced Streets of Rage 4 has surpassed 2.5 million downloads.
Also announced is the Mr. X Nightmare paid DLC, which adds three new playable characters and a Survival game mode. It will launch later this year. A separate free update will also launch on the same day as the paid DLC.
