Netflix has released an official teaser trailer of its upcoming live-action Resident Evil adaptation, heading to the streaming service on July 14th with an eight-episode first season.
The series, based on Capcom's long-running zombie survivor video game franchise, is simply known as Resident Evil with no subtitle, not like the franchise's recently released reboot movie. The 1971 song “I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing ” is playing in the background of the teaser trailer.

Netflix released the first official teaser for its upcoming Resident Evil series, which hits the subscription service on July 14, and in it, Umbrella is hiding something. Fortunately, we know exactly what it is: there's a hidden Easter egg that leads to a second, more gruesome zombie-filled trailer within the initial one.

Why? Why even bother?
Netflix today released the first teaser trailer for it's new Resident Evil series and this couldn't look anything less like Resident Evil. Well except for the zombies, it's got that. In fact this looks like someone was shopping around their zombie TV series and Netflix said "just slap Resident Evil on the cover and yeah there you go!".
Yes this is just a teaser trailer but even the Milla Jovovich movies and the newest movie Welcome to Raccoon City look more faithful than this.
Resident Evil premieres on Netflix on July 14th 2022.
