1 month ago   |   By PlayStation LifeStyle

Sony Corporation has revealed in its annual report for 2020 that its Interactive Entertainment arm will continue to invest in and acquire video game developers while strengthening partnerships with third party studios.
As of May 2020, Sony Worldwide Studios owns 14 developers and it wants more companies with “abundant creativity and cutting-edge technologies.” Sony mentioned its acquisition of Insomniac Games as an example of this strategy. The report reads:
Get Insomniac Game's Marvel's Spider-Man

“We will explore expanding our first party titles to the PC platform,” says Sony

1 month ago   |   By VG 247

Sony recently published a corporate report pertaining to the company's financial future, which included details about its intention to port more PS4 games to PC.
The report is relatively lengthy, but one of the biggest takeaways can be communicated pretty succinctly. Essentially, Sony has decided that it will make more of its catalog available on PC after the success of recent ports for games like Death Stranding and Horizon: Zero Dawn - the latter of which launched with a build of questionable integrity. “Sony Interactive Entertainment aims to achieve robust revenue growth by accelerating...

Sony Will “Explore” Bringing More First Party Games to PC

Seeing Sony's first party releases coming to any platform other than PlayStation seemed like an impossibility not to long ago, but it seems that the walls have at least come down around the PC gaming space. 2017's Guerrilla-developed action-RPG Horizon Zero Dawn released on PC earlier this month, and when rumours about the same were floating earlier this year, there were reports that were suggesting that it wouldn't be the only Sony first party game to be making the jump to PC either.
Recently, during its latest corporate report , Sony said something to that same effect, stating that in...

Sony Plans to “Invest in or Acquire” More Studios to Add to First Party Lineup

1 month ago   |   By Gaming Bolt

Sony's lineup of first party studios is, to put it mildly, quite impressive, and though it's always been quite strong, the impressive growth it has seen over the last decade has probably been one of the biggest factors in the PS4's massive success this generation. It's possible, however, that Sony might be looking into expanding it even further.
In its recently published corporate report , the company talked about the importance of first party created content, and said that in order to ensure that that area keeps on growing, not only does Sony plan to improve “the personnel and work...
